Coarse language
Swearing and crude language, from the odd 'damn' to frequent strong profanity.
A content label, not a money rating. We read it from each game's official age-rating descriptors and show the strongest level any board gives.
What it covers
Swearing in the game's own dialogue, text and song lyrics. Rating boards judge the game's script: what other players say in voice or text chat isn't rated, so check the chat settings too.
How the rating boards label it

The ESRB uses Mild Language, Language (mild to moderate profanity) and Strong Language (explicit and/or frequent profanity), with Lyrics descriptors for music.
PEGI shows Bad Language at 12 for mild swearing and at 16 for strong language.
